As a travel advisor specializing in romantic getaways, I'm thrilled about Royal Caribbean's addition of Costa Maya to its Beach Club Collection with "Perfect Day Mexico." James and I first visited this (at the time) sleepy Mexican cruise port more than a decade ago and we're thrilled to see it continue to develop and expand. That's why I was so excited to see two separate - but linked announcements recently, that Royal Caribbean was buying the Costa Maya Cruise Port and that they were also building out a new private vacation destination experience exclusive to their guests so that they can deliver a similar experience to what they do with their industry-leading "Perfect Day at CocoCay".

While Royal Caribbean is better know for being a family friendly cruise line filled with crazy kids having a great time but that doesn't mean that mom and dad (or couples without kids with them) can't have a great time too. In fact, in recent months Royal Caribbean has worked to build out more "Adults Only" spots for this market exactly. We expect to see a similar Adults Only Oasis here in Mahahula / Costa Maya as to what they are delivering on CocoCay as well. Where Is Perfect Day Mexico Located?
Perfect Day Mexico will be located in the charming resort town of Mahahual, a familiar name for many cruisers as the location of the Costa Maya Cruise Port. While we don't yet have specifics on the exact location, there is currently a small beach club just north of the cruise pier there so I speculate that's where it will be located. Otherwise, there is frankly plenty of land for them to build out on land as well as potentially construct a new cruise ship pier.
